What are the steps to attach the contract to the estimate?

A Contract is an agreement stated with the terms & conditions and enforced by law. It helps customers understand the terms and conditions that come up with the estimate.

Below is the step to attach the contract to the estimate:

Web App:

  • Login to the InvoiceOwl web app
  • Go to Settings > Document Settings > Contracts
  • Click on “Add Contract” to create a new one
  • Or, you can choose from the existing ones
  • Enable “set as default estimate contract or set as default invoice contract

If you want a particular contract to be attached to all your estimates or invoices, then enable either or both tabs.

Note: The available contracts are editable so that you can customize them per your terms and conditions.

So, this is how you can change the settings.

There is another way to add a contract to your estimate/invoice. This method applies to you when you want don’t want to change the default settings and send customized contracts. So, let’s look at it.

Here are the steps to it:

  • Fill in the required information
  • Scroll down to the “Contract” section
  • Click on the drop-down

Under the drop-down, you can select a particular contract for that particular estimate/invoice. With this, you can even edit or create a new one by clicking on “ Add Contract.”

Now that you are familiar know the steps for a web app, let’s look at how to attach the contract through a mobile app.

  • Click on the estimate and fill in the information
  • Click on the edit in the upper right corner
  • Scroll down to the “Contract” tab
